The short version
I'm a computer science student at Michigan State and a full-stack engineer who cares about where the code lands. Not tech dumped into a repo — systems with a person on the other end of them. I design before I write, I know what the thing I'm building costs to run, and I treat latency as a feature rather than an afterthought.

01 / experience
Where I've done it
Industry, research, and a company I co-founded. Each one is written up with what I actually owned.
-
Sept 2026 – Present
Software Development Engineer Intern Amazon Web Services
Working on AWS Shield, which runs on a global fleet of hosts across data centres and edge sites. My project is the automation that finds hosts quietly broken by hardware failure, decides whether the fleet can afford to lose them, and gets them repaired and returned to service without a human driving each step.
-
June 2026 – Aug 2026
Application Development Intern Delta Dental of Michigan
Worked on the enterprise administration platform that internal analysts use to process enrollment. My work centred on an AI-powered enrollment upload feature — the path a multi-family enrollment document takes from being dropped in the browser to being structured data an analyst can trust.

Sept 2024 – July 2026
Co-Founder & CTO Evimr
A student marketplace for the MSU campus. I owned the technical side end to end — architecture, the decisions behind it, and everything that broke at two in the morning.
-
Mar 2026 – Apr 2026
Research Assistant Action Lab
Robotic manipulation research. I collected and processed simulation data for UMI gripper tasks in NVIDIA Isaac Sim, turning simulated runs into structured datasets the lab could actually train and evaluate control algorithms against.

Three things I built end to end
Each one solves a problem I actually had, or watched somebody else have. Full write-ups include the part that went wrong.
03 / how I work
Three things I hold to
01
Design before code
My most expensive mistake was building before I had a shape in mind. Now the diagram comes first, always.
02
Know what it costs
Every service has a bill and an owner. I want to know both before I ship, not after the invoice lands.
03
Latency is a feature
Cutting a 12-minute job to 35 seconds changes how people use the tool. Efficiency is product work.
04 / writing
Posts
Build logs, deep dives, and short realisations from whatever I'm working on.
Nothing published yet
The writing starts here — build logs, deep dives, and the occasional short realisation, including whatever I can share from the AWS term.
